Zarrin Ghaferi
Founder and Clinical Therapist
Zarrin has experience working in the field of mental health at private practice, community-based organizations, and in both residential and outpatient treatment facilities. She has provided both individual and group counselling services, to adults living with anxiety, depression, stress, interpersonal issues, perfectionism, and trauma.
Zarrin’s personal experience as an immigrant has helped her to support other newcomers and immigrants in Halifax and Nova Scotia, particularly those struggling with identity issues, stress, anxiety, and depression related to migration and settlement.
Zarrin is an advocate for person-centred approaches, with a focus on mindfulness and self-compassion. Her therapeutic techniques include:

- Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT)

- Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA)
- Registered Counselling Therapist (RCT) with the Nova Scotia College of Counselling Therapists (NSCCT)
- Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MA)
- Bachelor of Science in Psychology (BSc)
